Nonfiction

Please keep nonfiction essays below 3,500 words, in double-spaced format, with standard 12-point fonts. Include your name, email address, and the essay title on the first page, then number each subsequent page. Each work should be one MS Word document submission; no PDFs, please. Be sure that Word files are email attachments, not links. Linked submissions will be rejected.

 

Do not include footnotes or endnotes. All content that’s relevant to your essay should be incorporated directly into the work itself. Please make sure all quotations are clearly attributed to an author and their specific work. If you quote from multiple secondary sources, place a Works Cited list at the end of your essay, using MLA format.

 

You may send a maximum of two essays per year.
