A Literary Magazine Dedicated
to the Spirit of the Adirondacks
“Beautiful, consistent, and honors our natural places with integrity.”
— Anne Bergeron, Contributor
Join us in celebrating the Adirondacks and regions similar in spirit and geography. Since 1979, Blueline has featured the highest quality poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and regional art focused on nature’s shaping influence. Blueline publishes writing and art that reveals original insight about the Adirondack region, with its varied landscapes and wildlife, stunning seasonal changes, and its demanding winters.
Blueline also promotes writing that interprets the literature and culture of northern New York, New England, and eastern Canada. Recent issues of Blueline have included exceptional nonfiction about places as far afield as Alaska and North Dakota and as close to home as the Hudson Valley. You’ll find new and established writers and artists in every volume.
Blueline originated in 1979 in Blue Mountain Lake. The magazine has been published at SUNY Potsdam since 1989. It is published annually, in early summer, by the Sheridan Press in Hanover, PA.
