Poetry

Please send five poems max. Include your name, your email address, and the title of the poem on the first page of each poem. You may include multiple poems in one Word document submission.

 

Individual poems should not exceed 125 lines.

 

Please keep individual lines of poems under 72 characters. Our page dimensions are 5 inches wide by 7.5 inches high. Poems will need to fit within this amount of space, in whole or in part.

 

Feel free to submit poems with creative spacing, but please keep in mind that all poems will need to fit our page dimensions.

 

Please submit using standard fonts. We print each volume in 12pt font, using Minion Pro.

 

All accepted poems are printed in black font on a white background. Poems that are interspersed with variously colored fonts will be rejected.

 

Prose poems are acceptable. Please identify them as such.

 

Please don’t send chapbooks, of any length, for consideration. Instead, select and send your best unpublished poems individually, per the above guidelines.

 

You may submit chapbooks for consideration for review. Query the editors about book or chapbook reviews. We welcome review copies, but we’re choosy about what we’ll review. If you send us a review copy, that’s not a guarantee that we’ll review it.
